Cancellation and Refunds Policy

If you need to cancel an appointment, depending on the circumstances and when your appointment is cancelled, I may charge a cancellation fee, as detailed below.  Cancellation fees help to cover my overheads but more importantly, help to prevent late cancellations or no-shows when an appointment could have been made available for another client.

Appointments of up to 90 minutes:

  • Appointments cancelled more than 48 hours in advance will not be charged. This does not include weekends or bank holidays.
  • Appointments cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Appointments cancelled on the day of the appointment will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Appointments of 2 hours or more:

  • Appointments cancelled more than 3 days in advance will not be charged. This does not include weekends or bank holidays.
  • Appointments cancelled less than 3 days in advance will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Appointments cancelled on the day of the appointment will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

All Appointments:

  • Failure to attend an appointment without notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee
  • I reserve the right to apply discretion and/or waive the cancellation fee, depending upon circumstances

Refunds:

  • Refunds will only be available for prepaid sessions that have not taken place and were either not booked (account credit) or cancelled according to the above cancellation terms.
  • Refunds are available upon request within a limit of 12 months from the original payment date.
  • The amount refunded will be equivalent to the original payment minus any payment transaction fees incurred, less the full undiscounted cost of any sessions already taken and minus an admin fee of £5 or 5%, whichever is greater.
  • Refunds made in any other circumstance or on other terms will be entirely at the discretion of Life Insight Therapy.
